Root of the idea?

PlantCare, a routine-based mobile app, aims to assist users in maintaining their plants’ health through straightforward, timely reminders. As someone who has a busy family frequently forgets to water over attends to plants, I envisioned a tool that makes plant care feel intuitive, organized, and accessible.

The app seamlessly combines a clean user interface with gentle visual cues to support users in establishing consistent habits. The dashboard provides a clear overview of the plants that require attention today, while also offering a quick summary of the total number of plants, their health status, and any urgent tasks. The objective was to create an experience that feels calming rather than overwhelming, a reflection of the slow and deliberate nature of caring for plants.

Design Prompt

“Design a personal routine app focused on improving everyday habits or tasks.”

For my concept, I chose plant care because it’s a routine I struggle to maintain. I wanted to explore how design can support people who love plants but don’t always remember the timing of watering, pruning, sunlight needs, or repotting schedules. By building this app, I learned how structure and visual hierarchy can suggest attentiveness make routine tasks feel more manageable.
