“Material Clean up.”

The Gunpowder Valley Conservancy (GVC) is a leading environmental organization dedicated to preserving the Gunpowder watershed. For the design of the marketed materials, we had to make sure that the marketed materials matched up well with the brand attributes of trustworthiness, sustainability, conservation, inclusivity and community impact.

This redesign of materials includes the programs for the rain barrel program, clear creeks, adopt a stream, stream clean up, and conservatory gardens. The visual theme draws inspiration from the colors and textures of the watershed, blending earthy tones with crisp, clean typography to evoke a sense of renewal and growth.

Approach

Client Meeting

Meeting with the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy representative was an inspiring experience that set the tone for the redesign. Their passion for protecting the Gunpowder watershed and heavy emphasis on fostering community involvement was evident early on in the discussion process. We discussed their vision for the project, focusing on enforcing a brand identity that could resonate with long-time supporters reach their target demographic & usual volunteer group that helps with their environmental impact. The collaborative atmosphere allowed us to explore creative ideas that celebrated the beauty of the watershed while emphasizing the urgency of conservation efforts and what sets their watershed apart from others that act in similar ways with similar goals. This meeting laid the groundwork for a redesign rooted in purpose and creativity.
